What is Tai Chi?

Our Sifu Nicholas Costello, was the first to teach Tai Chi classes in Ireland and remains one of the most traditional and respected instructors worldwide. â€‹

Tai Chi consists of flowing meditative movements.  These slow, gentle movements, combined with breathing techniques, relax the mind while working the body inside and out.  Physically it improves strength,  flexibility, balance, co-ordination, fitness and boosts the immune system to name but a few.  Taught in the traditional way, a student is allowed to develop at their own pace in a caring and stress free environment. Because of the small class size students can benefit from the full attention of their instructor.  Tai Chi can help you become aware of the energy that surrounds and flows through you.  â€‹

These gentle exercises are known to boost mental awareness and reduce stress. Tai Chi can be practiced by everyone – fit or recovering from injury – standing or sitting.  Tai Chi reconnects us to the universal energy

Tai Chi requires the practitioner to have physical and mental self-discipline unequaled in modern-day pursuits. You will leave this class feeling relaxed yet invigorated.
