We are the Lung Ying Academy
We are The Lung Ying Academy. We practice and teach the traditional Shaolin arts of Lung Ying Kung Fu and Tai Chi, as well as Lion-Dances and Dragon-Dances.
We have been in operation in Ireland since 1980, although these teachings are over 2000 years old.
We established our own purpose-built Shaolin temple in Slane, Co. Meath in 1996. This is the only facility in Ireland built specifically for the teaching of Kung Fu.
Facilities include a large training hall for Lung Ying Kung Fu and Tai Chi instruction, a fully equipped gym and conditioning room, changing rooms, large Feng Shui gardens for meditation and relaxation and a purpose built lodge, offering accommodation for students, equipped with full kitchen, en-suite facilities and an infra-red sauna.
We are actively involved with many charitable organisations including the Irish Breast Cancer Association, Special Olympics Ireland, Sports Against Racism Ireland (S.A.R.I), Autism Ireland and many others.
As well as charity work, our Academy also engages in Lion and Dragon Dance performances. Our portfolio includes prestigious clients such as RTE, TV3, Coca Cola, Tiger Beer, Amoy, Guinness and many, many more.
